An estimate is not a bid
Every figure this site produces is an estimate built from published cost data and typical crew rates. It is not a quotation, not an engineering calculation and not a substitute for a site visit by a licensed contractor. Structural questions — snow load, deck condition, framing capacity — belong to a licensed engineer.
Use of the material
The guides, tables and calculators are free to read, print and use on your own jobs. The templates may be adapted for your business. Republishing the content wholesale, or scraping it to train or populate another site, is not permitted.
Codes and regulations
Code requirements cited on this site are current at the date printed on the page and are federal or model-code baselines. Your local amendments govern. Confirm with your building department before you rely on a number.
No warranty
The site is provided as is. We make no warranty that a figure is accurate for your roof, your market or your date, and we are not liable for losses arising from a decision made on it.
